People wonder what they can eat in Whiting Center Lounge is a staple for anyone from the region who's been to Whiting more than just for the pierogi fest. You'll be hard-pressed to find better bar food than at this local establishment! Get the deluxe BLT, the Reuben, the wings, all of the burgers, waffle fries...gosh I can't think of anything that I've had on this menu that has not been five star. Their food is consistently great ...not good but GREAT. Not pretentious, but good bar, comfort food.
A great dive bar with family eating area in back. Awesome wings! I don't wait for Wednesday's to dig into the wings, but if you can, wings are $0.25. Servers are nice, getting better in this category. Lots of free parking nearby.
Driving from Chicago to Michigan with my partner...had the urge for a Fish Fry. Pulled off on Calumet off I-90 and into Whiting Indiana Surprised by the food. Loved the local vibe. Fish fry hit the spot.
Everything on the menu is good the owners are really nice it's my second year coming to whiting and center lounge never fails.
